Wooden Boats

Fall is coming to my home town.  I envy people who live on the Gulf or in Key West and who only have to change to their winter sandals . . . But I'm a lucky girl, and I live in a Norman Rockwell neighborhood, I have three and one half Westies, a husband and son who I adore, and I have a wooden boat.  It's a 36' wooden Chris Craft, a Sea Skiff, and it's up on Grand Lake.  






Wooden boats are an obsession. If they're not an obsession with you, don't get one.  This weekend is one of my favorite of the year. It's the Grand Lake Classic Boat Show.  For a photographer and wooden boat buff like me, tomorrow's going to be a great day.








Here's a video from last year's boat show.  The older guy at the end is Chris Smith, grandson of the Chris Smith who founded Chris Craft Boats, standing with my hubby, Captn' Brown.
